Debbie Dean

Debbie Dean

Debbie Dean has been interested in art all of her life. She was inspired to become an artist by her father, Richard Brand, who was a commercial artist at one time.

Debbie has taught art many times. She worked as an art docent for the Anaheim Unified School district and at Bradshaw Christian school, in Elk Grove, CA. In Susanville, CA, she taught beginning drawing and painting to elementary school students, and taught Jr. high school students to paint stage props and backdrops. On several occasions, she taught art as part of 4-H programs and was honored to teach children as part of the California Gifted and Talented Education Program.

After retiring, Debbie and her husband, Jack, traveled in their RV for eight years before settling down in Crescent City. It is here, that she has been able to explore many new mediums and discovered a love for oil painting.

Debbie enjoys being part of the art community here, in Crescent City, and is very happy to have become a member of the Crescent Harbor Gallery.
